At 35 I photographed a naked model, a stranger. I thought I was capturing his physique, the curves of his body, but as he shared the stories behind his tattoos, he told of love, of loss, and of childhood.

His vulnerability turned the act of photography into a shared moment of trust and transformed the images into art.
